Here's a layout I shared on the DCWV blog today! I've been wanting to scrap these photos of Jayden's 35th birthday for awhile and I love how this turned out. Inspired by the Choose Your Own Adventure books from my childhood, I create a day of surprises. At each stop he got to choose from a set of handmade scratch-its with clues. The lottery ticket he picked revealed our next destination. These included Screen Door (a delicious brunch spot), the nickel arcade, ceramic studio, and roller derby. It was such a fun day and we were fortunate to have beautiful weather for January.
I used the new DCWV Chick Chat Stack to create this layout. It's just my style - bright and bold. I cut strips of six different papers and fanned them around the center. I matted the center with one of the linen papers that come in the stack. I printed the photos in black and white and popped them up for depth. I also fussy cut arrows to help transition between the stops and photos. I used my cameo and a wood veneer to create the title.
Now for some close-ups...
