Today I'm sharing my first scrapbook layout as part of the Creative Scrapper's Design Team! I still can't believe I was chosen to be a designer. This was such a fantastic trip to New York City and were going non-stop the whole time. I shared photos of three highlights and then listed the others. I'd been once before, but Jayden had never been. We weren't originally planning to head there for spring break, but then I won tickets to see The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and our decision was made!
Here's Sketch 279, which inspired my design. Please join us by linking up your sketch on the Creative Scrapper's blog by October 31st. You'll have the chance to win a great prize from Pretty Little Studio.
Now for the close-ups. After seeing this sketch, my ideas and design came quickly and the finished result looks pretty close to what I imagined. There's no ink, paint, or stencils, but there's lots of ripped paper. In turn, it's colorful with many layers. Two of my favorite things.
We went to a taping of The Chew, which was actually kind of disappointing. I don't watch the show, but Jayden does and he loves Carla Hall so I was determined for him to meet her. She was awesome, he was happy, and it made up for the rest of the experience.
We went to two Broadway shows while we were there, including a preview of The Realistic Joneses with Michael C Hall. We stood in the snow after the show contemplating where to go for dinner and he walked out a side door. It was totally unexpected and I was freaking out a little bit, especially considering that my all-time favorite television show is Six Feet Under.
