Given that my craft room is one of the hottest spots in the house, I knew I only had a couple hours to scrap before we reached more record high temps yesterday. I had just completed a layout that took days (that I will excitedly share next week!) and wanted to create something quickly. Inspired by a watercolor resist tutorial on Tim Holtz's blog, I made these cards. I've been using this technique with clear embossing and distress markers for card making a lot lately. I like having several cards on hand for every occasion and I was out of birthday cards. I also like repeating one design and making multiple cards using this same theme. I kept them pretty simple. I varied the cards, background papers, and ink colors before adding stitching and wood embelishments.
