It's my first post as part of the DCWV design team and I'm here to share a couple cards I made for this month's DCWV December Stack-a-holic Challenge! Here's my card featured on the DCWV Blog.
This card was inspired by the sketch by my fellow Design Team member, Tessa Buys. It's a fantastic sketch and I followed it pretty closely. Want to play along? Upload your card or layout to the blog for a chance to win!
The card itself is from the DCWV Brights Solid box of cards. I used my Cameo to cut a star and then added strips of paper layered behind the star. It's a great way to show off all the papers from the DCWV Vintage Basics stack. I've used this stack for so many projects and I'm going to be sad when I run out of it. I layered a couple more pieces of Vintage Basics behind the star, as well as some vellum from one of my new stacks, DCWV Foiled Vellum. I sewed on the "birthday" title cut from black cardstock, stapled a twine bow, and added some wood veneer stars. Seeing as if I'm running low on birthday cards and I like to have several on hand, I made another in different colors and some slight changes.
