I'm going cut happy with my new Cameo! I made this layout using the pie heart cut files from The Cut Shoppe. I love that I can cut the file and then back it to show off the assortment of different papers. While I love subtle and light-colored layouts, I am usually drawn to create with more vivid colors and bold pattens. Case in point.
I used this sketch from Paper Issues Sketch Saturday. I followed it pretty closely. I started with gesso, modeling paste, and watercolor. The usual suspects in my layouts. The larger papers are from Amy Tangerine, while the heart is backed with papers from Heidi Swapp. I think they coordinated well. I used foam dots to raise the photo and journaling. For me, this isn't a lot of embellishments, because the page was already pretty busy. There are alphas and heart stickers from Heidi Swapp. Lastly, I added drops of color shine, black ink, stitching, and thread.
