Hi, folks! I'm back with another layout for Scrap Our Stash! This time it's a layout inspired by a sketch challenge. I chose two photos from my friend Caitlin's visit back in October. Her visit was a great reason to celebrate and celebrate we did. Portland is a city obsessed with brunch. So while we waited two and a half hours (which is admitedly ridiculous) for one of the best brunches in town, we enjoyed some tasty bloody marys. The next day we headed north to Hood River for some wine tasting.
Play along with us at SOS for a chance to win a $20 gift card from the January sponsor 17turtles. I love the cut files designed by Juliana Michaels and used the Swirl and Twirl cut file for this layout. I actually cut out two from floral paper and sandwiched them between paper layers.
This layout features a lot of distressed paper layers, most of which come from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection. The mason jar comes from the same collection, which I fussy cut and used for journaling. I used red and black ink to color the "hi" wood veneer. I outlined the glitter thickers with ink in the same colors and sewed them to the page. Then, I added some embellishments from my stash before finishing with sequins.
